As we head into the Fall season with cooler weather, it’s a great time to think about updating your indoor family haven.  So let’s draw our inspiration by looking at next year’s trends in design. To start, we love this quote as it adequately portrays how color impacts our emotions and frame of mind.

“The use of color in interior design is changing. It’s not just about what a space looks like anymore, but how it makes you feel,” says Sue Wadden, director of color marketing at Sherwin-Williams. “The world is a hectic place, and color has the power to mitigate outside stress and shape our day-to-day environments and overall mood.”  For Sherwin-Williams, their color pick is a beautiful choice for those who want to create depth and complexity and you can find it here.

Behr also recently debuted their BEHR® Color Trends 2021 here showcasing their 21 color hues to create the mood and experience you want for each room of your home.

Providing a universal color language for over 20 years, Pantone’s Color of the Year has influenced fashion, product development, home furnishings, product packaging, graphic design and more. Pantone’s 2020 color was classic blue which can be found here. We are excited to see 2021’s color of the year so stay tuned for the big reveal in our December blog.

Lastly, if you need further inspiration, we love this list too – it not only gives insights to color trends but interior design overall.

Whether you are buying, selling, or remodeling your current home, what’s your color forecast?
