February Sales Volume was up in Bend and roughly flat in Redmond and Sunriver. Median Prices dropped in Sunriver for the 3rd month in a row, while Bend was slightly lower and Redmond increased a bit.

Real Estate Watch : January 2023
Bend’s Sales volume dipped a bit in January (which is typical for this time of year), while Redmond and Sunriver were generally flat. Median Price in Sunriver retrenched from its high last year by 21% with Redmond and Bend holding steady. Days On Market increased across the three cities with Sunriver shooting up 90 days over December’s number.

Sale volumes were down in all three markets, which is typical in the month of December. Everything slows as the weather turns and people are focused on the holidays. That said, the winter months can be an excellent time to buy or sell as there is less competition. Median Prices in Sunriver jumped dramatically, but with just two sales, the data is skewed.

November sales were down in Bend, Redmond, and Sunriver as we head into the slower winter months and the overall market continues to soften.
Renner Group Year-End Market RecapThe 2022 real estate market in Central Oregon started out on the same upward trajectory as we experienced in 2021. Sales were strong through April, but a noticeable shift took place as we made our way through May and into June. The increase in interest rates tamped down buyer demand and the recent norm of homes going pending within days and the multiple offers that accompanied were on a downward trend.
