Bend led in the month of January with a 14% increase in sales volume compared to the previous year, while Sunriver was flat, and Redmond dipped a bit. Median prices were up in all three markets, with Sunriver bolting upward with a 78% increase (but keep in mind that is a reflection of the mix of inventory sold – more sales in the upper price points than lower). Homes continue to sell quickly as too many buyers chase too little inventory in this hot market.
We should see a slight inventory build as we move into spring and the start of listing season, but you’ll still have to be diligent as a buyer, as I don’t expect demand to wane anytime soon.
Keep smiling and find a way to make someone’s day a little brighter!
